Not to say that he was, in that instance, permanently killed, but to say that he is capable of being thwarted by enough physical power. Even if his body is destroyed, Cthulhu doesn't die. He sleeps. He dreams. In his house at Rylyeh, dead Cthulhu lies dreaming. This would have been an absolutely amazing cloverfield prequel to the first movie. To bad its not being produced by bad robot. Who filmed this? They are horrible? Maybe camera work is not for you...
